We hope you’ve chosen your costume (or Halloween attire), because NYMMT is going to knock your striped socks right off at its Halloween Party at the Jam Factory this Sunday evening. Expect the unexpected- goodie bags, lots of tasty delights, a full bar, an array of musical theater performers, and talented local bands The Fitted Shirt and Tuna Fish Discrepancy perform Halloween-themed sets. At only $5 for each 21+ plus admission, how can you miss it?

Oh yes…did we mention that the Hippo has a fantastic article about the event, which will include both Halloween classics and lesser-known spooky musical theater pieces? Here it is. It is page 14-15 and has a great photo of “Die, Vampire, Die” from [title of show].

In other news, we’re performing at Not Your Grandma’s Craft Fair in a couple of weeks, trying to finalize an exciting concert series for next year, and finishing casting Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Expect new video blogs and updates soon! And thanks for your support!

A few exciting additions to our lineup….

On October 30th, NYMMT is planning a Halloween party, which will feature a still being assembled cast of past NYMMT performers and local bands at Manchester’s favorite dive bar, The Jam Factory (attached to Raxx Billiards). Tickets will be only $5 at the door, and we’ll have fun raffles and goodies. Costumes are encouraged! The show begins at 7 and we’ll have details soon.

On November 12, Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater will be performing at Not Your Grandma’s Craft Fair. This exciting fair, with an arts and crafts version of our own vision of theater, will run from 9-3 at McDonough Elementary School in Manchester. NYMMT is pleased to bring musical entertainment to the event, including Joey T., Kevin Kimball, other past [title of show] cast members, and local bands Tuna Fish Discrepancy and The Fitted Shirt presenting acoustic sets.

Lastly, we’re in negotiations for the rights to our upcoming season. We have some VERY exciting shows in the works and we hope to be able to announce them within the next week or two!

p.s. Exciting offers and video blogs are in the works, so stay tuned. 🙂

We’re eagerly awaiting the results of a proposal we put forward to rent a space for the upcoming season (3 shows). If it passes, we’ll apply for the rights and soon be able to announce our 2011-2012 season!

Our fall show is looking INCREDIBLE and we can’t wait to hold auditions. It will have roles for everyone who wants them too!
