About NYMMT

Is Annie Get Your Gun your favorite musical? Do you prefer a night at home reading Twilight to bar-hopping or catching a comedy show? Do you often regret that Hair the musical was ever conceived? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this is what you should do. Leave. This. Site. If you spend too long with us, you will quickly regret it.

Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater’s mission is to produce contemporary, edgy, innovative musical theater. There are many groups that produce your Oklahomas (okay, I love that show) and your High School Musicals. But how many groups will produce The Great American Trailer Park Musical, I Love My Wife, and Zanna, Don’t? Not many in NH, anyway. We are here to change that.

Do you hate musicals, or at least all but one or two fun ones that you’ve seen? Do you prefer a rock band to a full orchestra? Would you rather listen to a Green Day musical than Hello, Dolly? Then, my friend, we just might be the company for you.

We hereby vow to produce shows that make you laugh, shows that make you think, and shows that make you want to get up onstage and perform with us. We’ll produce shows that have you dancing in your seat or on your feet and shows that inspire you. And we’ll produce them with you and for you like you’ve never seen before.

Inspired musical theater for adults. Where your money guarantees you a great performance you won’t soon forget.

Like what you see? Then come join us. Shoot us an email at notyourmoms@gmail.com. We’re always open to your help and ideas. We generally perform our productions in southern NH.

Wouldn’t it be a good idea for you to put your address somewhere on the website??? I might have been interested in attending, but I have no idea where you are located!

    • We’re sorry you were confused – We’re a floating theater company so we don’t have a home for every show. The Amato Center is at 56 Mont Vernon St., Milford, NH. It’s tricky to find so we hoped people would look it up and get directions before attending, but we’ve updated the information as of yesterday. Sorry!
