Education
Although NYMMT gears its mainstage shows towards adults, we believe everyone, student and grandparent alike, should have access to our style of contemporary, creative musical theater. In addition to choosing one show per year appropriate for a high school audience, NYMMT offers classes and 1 day residencies to interested schools and other organizations. Our staff include theater professionals and educators, and our workshops can include improv, dance, music master classes, sound design, and musical theater history, amongst other topics. Recent residencies:
Hillsboro-Deering High School, March 25, 2011: Workshops in Musical Theater Dance, Intro to Sound Design, Musical Improvisation, and a Musical Theater Master Class, with a free professional production of The Musical of Musicals: The Musical in the evening at 7:30 PM.
