Cast Bios
The cast for our 2012 Series of Unfortunate Entertainment concert series:
Robin Boyd – Robin Boyd, one of our emcees, is the graphic designer and a major creative presence and support behind NYMMT. She is thrilled to make her NYMMT on-stage debut in these concerts!
Ross Boyd – Ross Boyd is proud of his rhinoceros, and is the audio engineer for the series. He is also a board member of NYMMT. He performs in Nine Unknown and Tuna Fish Discrepancy, his rock quartet with tongue planted firmly in cheek.
Jocelyn Duford – Jocelyn Duford has her B.A. in Theater from Dartmouth College with a concentration in acting and sound design. She is actively involved in theater in Southern NH and hopes to continue to expand her acting and singing career while pursuing interests in education and animal rescue.
Lynn Eaton – Lynn is mom to the stars, and emcee to 2 parts of this concert series.
Jamie Feinberg -Jamie wrote too many of these bios, but otherwise her life is pretty amazing right now. I mean really, just look at this cast!
Lauren Friedman – Lauren has been in theater for far too long, but suffice to say her vocals are about as good as it gets. Maybe she’ll send us a bio and you can learn more, but she’s very active with the Actorsingers in Nashua.
Dan Holmes – Dan has more opera experience than theater, and is usually seen in bands, but after being brought in as a bass player for 1972, we kept him to sing in 1982 and he’ll be returning in both 2002 and NYMMT’s production of See What I Wanna See. Don’t confuse him with the drummer. He’s a gymnast.
Tom Holmes – Tom Holmes might as well be NYMMT’s resident drummer. When this year is over, he will have played for all 16 performances by NYMMT. Crazy, no?
Joel Iwaskiewicz – We’re thrilled to have the very talented Joel joining us for this series. He’s recently been seen in Next to Normal with the Acting Loft and will be in Bat Boy with New Thalian Players.
Kevin Kimball – Kevin knocked your socks off in 1972 because he is fierce. If you see him, tell him to get his butt back here to show off his crazy fierce vocals again.
Marc Murai – Marc’s resume wouldn’t leave room for anyone else’s, so we’ve decided to just tell you that Marc has won tons of awards for his film direction and he directed our production of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Also, he’s on the board of NYMMT.
Sarah Murai – Sarah is super. And super-talented. And she did not write this.
Elliot Robert Owens – Elliot is very excited to be making his Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater debut, having grown bored with performing in shows your mom would love. He loves quirky musical theater, shameless plugs (Spiral Circus – New England’s Premier Party Band @ SpiralCircus.com!!!) and, of course, Sheree Owens.
Sheree Owens – Sheree is excited to be participating in A Series of Unfortunate Entertainment. She studied Musical Theatre at Dean College in Franklin, MA. After college, she got involved in the animal care industry and is currently a manager at Pembroke Animal Hospital. She also enjoys singing with the rock cover band Spiral Circus.
Katelyn Parker – Katelyn Parker joins NYMMT for the first time in this concert series, but she’s been seen all over NH in a variety of roles. She also has created a few cabaret fundraisers for Relay for Life.
Aimée Robidoux – Aimée most recently perfomed with Stagecoach Productons as Ida Strauss in Titanic: the Musical, and she has also been seen recently singing “Getting Married Today” at The Acting Loft and performing with the New Thalian Players in their Fall Show. Prior to relocating to New Hampshire, Aimée was seen as the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical the Musical, Lady Beconsfield/Nellie in Jekyll and Hyde, and many more. Aimée has performed her popular cabaret shows throughout PA, NJ, and NY, and made her NH cabaret debut in June for NYMMT at Milly’s Tavern in Manchester. www.aimeerobidoux.com
Becky Rush – Becky Rush has two passions in life: teaching and theatre. She lives alone with her cat Chispa. Don’t judge.
Samantha St. Onge – Samantha graduated from Plymouth State University in May 2012 with a BA in Music Theatre Performance. She would like to thank Jamie and NYMMT for being so welcoming! http://www.samanthastonge.com/
Dave Ostrowski – Dave Ostrowski recently made his professional acting debut (besides NYMMT, of course) in Hackmatack’s production of Oklahoma. Dave played Martin Van Buren in BBAJ and will playing the Husband/the CPA in See What I Wanna See. He is the best resource for good Audience Choice selections.
Deb Shaw – Deborah Shaw is very active in S. NH theatre as an actor, director, producer, publicist, and technical designer. She has been recognized as a finalist many times by the NH Theatre Awards, winning individual awards for her directing and acting, as well as being the director and set designer of the best productions of 2008 and 2009. Ms. Shaw has chosen 2012 as the year to return her focus to one of her strongest passions: music.
Charisse Shields – Charisse is in a show practically every other weekend, mostly in MA. NYMMT is honored to have her join us for this series, and once she’s done with Ren. Faire maybe she’ll have time to write her own bio.
Joey T. – Being something of a flop musical geek, Joey has been in heaven performing in this concert series. Previous roles include John Quincy Adams in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Hunter in [title of show], Tateh in Ragtime, and Sancho in Man of LaMancha. Joey has been nominated for several NH Theatre Awards and is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC.
Anja Parish Ward – Anja has been with NYMMT from the beginning, as a board member, actress, and stellar lighting designer. Since then she’s been featured in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and has bravely taken on a variety of accents for this concert series.
