The show is cast, the plans are laid, and now we just need the money to bring our dreams to life!

Picture a world inspired by movies by Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal. A fantastical haunted glen, where two sisters embark in search of goblins.

Puppets, a living and breathing set created by our ensemble and best of all, Allyson Holmes and Jocelyn Duford’s absolutely exquisite vocals bringing the show to life.

Sound great? Sound unique to New Hampshire? Sound special? Please help us make it happen!

Help Goblins Take The Hatbox Theatre!

Goblin Market artwork by Don Higgins I Not Your Mom's Musical Theater
Have you heard? Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater announces auditions for Polly Pen and Peggy Harmon’s Goblin Market!
The story:

Two proper Victorian sisters are now grown and mothers. Returning to the nursery of their youth, they relive their haunting memories there. Goblins woo them with luscious fruits, promising them ecstasy beyond their imagination.

NYMMT’s Goblin Market blends puppetry and poetry, journeying through the psyches of these two sisters. It takes inspiration from art and the fantasy worlds of films like Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal with synthesizers and percussion enhancing the score.

Critics referred to this production in New York as “an absolutely gorgeous piece of Victorian erotica”….“a spellbinding, highly imaginative show….in a class by itself.”

This production is rated PG-13 due to Victorian-era eroticism and puppetry.

NYMMT is accepting video submissions for the production, which begins rehearsals in September and runs November 15-24 at the Hatbox Theatre in Concord, NH.
All roles paid small stipend plus a percentage of show profits. Rehearsals will be (mainly) be in the Concord, NH area, most likely M/W/Th/Fri prior to tech week.
Roles Available:
Understudy (or two) for Lizzie and Laura – understudy will learn one or both parts and will be given one guaranteed performance. Understudy may also be considered  to double as ensemble. Understudies should be exceptional vocalists, with a strong low end (F or G below middle C with depth), strong mix without an obvious break and an upper range of at least a High G#. Acting and some dance experience preferred.
Puppeteers/Ensemble Members – All genders. No speaking or singing; seeking excellent actors comfortable with physical theater and some movement to embody the goblins and help bring the set to life. Training in improvisation or modern dance is helpful but not required. Seeking 2-4 puppeteer/ensemble members.
Accessibility concerns for the production? Please let us know when you audition so that we have plenty of time to address them.
To Audition:
Please send a photo, a video as outlined below, and a resume and your availability to rehearse beginning September 2nd, 2019 to notyourmoms@gmail.com. Video can be sent as an attachment, but submission of a Youtube link is ideal. Deadline to submit is June 19th or until roles are filled.
Understudies should submit a video of no more than 3 minutes length of themselves performing a dramatic theater or classical piece that shows acting and singing range.
Puppeteer/Ensemble candidates should submit a video of themselves, 3 minutes or less, with one or more of the following: a) performing a brief monologue b) performing a brief dance piece c) performing with a puppet d) your choice.
Lizzie and Laura will generally be played by Jocelyn Duford and Ally Holmes.
