Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater has determined that in order to stay relevant and “edgy”, it needs an edgier name to go with the edginess of its programming. Therefore, henceforth, Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater will be known as Who’s Your Daddy Musical Theater. While we realize this may come as a shock to some of our patrons, the timing just feels right.

Check out our new logo!

Oh, and by the way,

APRIL FOOLS!

Hi friends! Our flexpass, which is the only way to reserve seating for our concerts (in the area of your choice) and get free gifts at each concert (baked goods! yum!) is available now for purchase HERE. Here’s the logo for our first concert too – we hope you’ll consider a subscription to the series, but you can also try out the first one and then decide to get a flexpass. We’re selling seats at the door (unless you get the flexpass!) so come join us! We suggest arriving as close to 6:30 as possible for your best seating selection.

Audition info is up for our year-long series, An Evening of Unfortunate Entertainment. Please consider auditioning! We’d love to work with you. And if nothing else, please plan to come see the concerts! Admission will be by donation.

Happy February 🙂 Hope to see you soon, and thanks for spreading the word.

Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson has begun rehearsals, and our first video blog is in the making, but in the meantime, why not watch a minute long clip from Not Your Mom’s Halloween Party?  Visit our NYMMT Videos page to check it out.

Have a great week!

Please visit the Coming Attractions link above for information on who is performing and when you should come visit us in late October and early November. We hope to be able to announce our next show by next week!

A few exciting additions to our lineup….

On October 30th, NYMMT is planning a Halloween party, which will feature a still being assembled cast of past NYMMT performers and local bands at Manchester’s favorite dive bar, The Jam Factory (attached to Raxx Billiards). Tickets will be only $5 at the door, and we’ll have fun raffles and goodies. Costumes are encouraged! The show begins at 7 and we’ll have details soon.

On November 12, Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater will be performing at Not Your Grandma’s Craft Fair. This exciting fair, with an arts and crafts version of our own vision of theater, will run from 9-3 at McDonough Elementary School in Manchester. NYMMT is pleased to bring musical entertainment to the event, including Joey T., Kevin Kimball, other past [title of show] cast members, and local bands Tuna Fish Discrepancy and The Fitted Shirt presenting acoustic sets.

Lastly, we’re in negotiations for the rights to our upcoming season. We have some VERY exciting shows in the works and we hope to be able to announce them within the next week or two!

p.s. Exciting offers and video blogs are in the works, so stay tuned. 🙂

We’re eagerly awaiting the results of a proposal we put forward to rent a space for the upcoming season (3 shows). If it passes, we’ll apply for the rights and soon be able to announce our 2011-2012 season!

Our fall show is looking INCREDIBLE and we can’t wait to hold auditions. It will have roles for everyone who wants them too!
