Not Your Mom’s announces AUDITIONS for the hilarious ‘50s parody Zombie Prom
Time: Tuesday, May 28 6:30-9:00 (please arrive early and be prepared to stay for a while)

Not Your Mom’s Musical Theater is announces auditions for the hilarious off-Broadway musical Zombie Prom, which spoofs the era and music of the 1950’s, as well as musicals like Grease, Bye Bye Birdie and Little Shop of Horrors. The show was originally performed with 5 men and 5 women, but a singing and dancing ensemble (with feature opportunities) will be added. We’re giving the show a PG-13 rating due to lots of adult humor.
The show’s production team includes Jamie Feinberg, Ross Boyd and Donna Tongue. Rehearsals will be mainly in Derry and Londonderry, NH.
Performance Dates:
Sept. 27-29 and Oct. 4-6, with an actual Zombie Prom (live band, zombie photo booth, and more) after the Oct. 4 show!
Rehearsals will begin in late June and vacation conflicts can be accommodated.
Audition Requirements:

Prepare a song in the style of the show, either from a musical or from the 50’s era. Please bring sheet music for your song. All featured roles will belt and sing harmony, If possible, please bring a resume and be familiar with some of the music from the show.

Actors will be asked to read from the script – sides are available in advance by request. Actors can also prepare a very short comic monologue if desired.

What is the age range?
Great question, Stacy. We’re actually considering all ages for these concerts, but we anticipate the majority of roles being filled by adults or possibly high school students. We will be customizing our song list based on who auditions, so in particular concerts we may want a young person or two to be able to sing certain roles.
do you need to sign up for an audition time, or just show up?
Great question Aimee! No appointment is necessary, you can just drop by. We’d recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before auditions end to make sure you’re seen.
